ABOUT THE SHOW

Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories, Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach (TYA) is a brand new take on this "masterpeach" of a tale.  Featuring a wickedly tuneful score by the writers of Dear Even Hansen and Lalaland and a witty and charming book, this adventurous musical about courage and self-discovery is destined to be a classic.

When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements along the way.

James and the Giant Peach TYA

July 18-21

When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach... and launches a journey of enormous proportions. Suddenly, James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach – among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities – but, after it falls from the tree and rolls into the ocean, the group faces hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements. Thanks to James' quick wit and creative thinking, the residents learn to live and work together as a family. The dangerous voyage is a success, but the adventure takes a whole new twist once they land on the Empire State Building.

Featuring a wickedly tuneful score by the Tony Award-nominated team of Pasek and Paul (Dear Evan HansenDogfight, and A Christmas Story the Musical) and a curiously quirky book by Timothy Allen McDonald (Roald Dahl's Willy WonkaThe Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley), critics rave: James and the Giant Peach is a "masterpeach!"

Little Women

November 8-16

Based on the cherished novel by Louisa May Alcott, Little Women tells the story of the four March Girls, Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy, as they grow to adulthood in Civil War era New England. The girls endure hardships and privations, and eventually even a tragic loss, but their courage, their love for each other, and the strength of their family bond never fade. This adaptation stays very close to the original text and is especially popular with those who truly love the book. An evening with sensible Meg, headstrong Jo, quiet Beth and lively Amy makes a wonderful and moving theatrical experience for the whole family.
